During this year’s month of Ramadan, a shortage of oranges in the Malé market has seen prices soar to MVR 15 per unit. While most retail outlets have run out of stock, STO continues to ensure availability at significantly lower prices. Currently, oranges are available at STO for approximately MVR 6 each, representing a substantial saving compared to prevailing market rates. Oranges remain a highly popular fruit among Maldivians, particularly for breaking the fast during Iftar.
