STELCO’s Managing Director Hussain Fahmy has stated that the company made a profit of 138 million rufiyaa last year. In a post on X yesterday, Fahmy released the company’s financial statements for the past seven years. According to these figures, the company suffered a loss of 172 million rufiyaa in 2023. However, last year they recovered from this loss and made a profit of 138 million rufiyaa. The statistics show that this is the largest profit the company has made in the past six years.
Figures revealed by Fahmy:
2018: 105 million rufiyaa
2019: 109 million rufiyaa
2020: 130 million rufiyaa
2021: 105 million rufiyaa
2022: 107 million rufiyaa
Fahmy also stated that the company managed to recover from the loss and make a profit last year by efficiently using resources, reducing waste, and strengthening the management system.
