The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) collected MVR 3.24 billion in revenue during the month of December, marking a significant 30.7% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This growth in revenue is primarily attributed to the rise in tourist arrivals, which led to higher collections from TGST, Green Tax, and resort land rents. The largest contribution to the revenue came from GST, accounting for MVR 1.72 billion. Additionally, the total revenue includes USD 157.83 million, representing a 40% increase in foreign currency collections compared to the previous year.
