Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has concluded his inaugural visit to the Maldives. The Sri Lankan President visited the Maldives at the invitation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. Upon arrival, President Wickremesinghe was officially welcomed by the Maldivian government. During this visit, he held official discussions with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and participated in a ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding and a treaty on cooperation in important areas between the two countries.

Reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries, the leaders of both nations issued a joint statement.
