Vice President Uz. Hussain Mohamed Latheef has stated that sports tournaments held in the Maldives significantly strengthen the country’s social fabric. Speaking as the guest of honor at the final match of the men’s division in the “Bifaan 2026” volleyball tournament held in G.Dh. Fiyoaree, the Vice President highlighted that sports foster a spirit of unity and friendship within island communities and help resolve individual differences. The final match, played between Fuvahmulah’s DSRC and Rathafandhoo, concluded with DSRC securing the championship title. The Vice President presented awards to the winners of the competition. Additionally, the FACE association presented a commemorative plaque to the Vice President in recognition of his continuous support.
