Majority Leader of the People’s Majlis and Parliamentary Group Leader of PNC, Ibrahim Falah, has stated that it is important for everyone to speak the truth in order to establish national stability. Speaking at an Iftar event held by PNC at the Artificial Beach, the member for Inguraidhoo constituency, Falah, said that as we are approaching a blessed month, the public needs to be aware of matters that could lead to discord and strife. He also emphasized that speaking truthfully on various platforms such as newspapers, TV, and social media is crucial for the national interest today.
“Confusing truth and falsehood can lead to the corruption of a nation, families, and individuals,” Falah said. “Therefore, for the peace and benefit of this nation, one of the most important things today is for our newspapers and social media discussions to be based on truth. It is very important for both journalists and individual social media users to disclose information truthfully.”
He stated that if people speak in ways that cause discord and strife, it could lead to major issues between citizens, between citizens and the government, and among individuals, potentially resulting in things happening contrary to the truth. Falah acknowledged and thanked the efforts of PNC’s Women’s Wing and leadership in organizing the Iftar event.
