Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has admitted that he sometimes gets angry at his players and occasionally even wants to resign from his position.
Speaking to journalists after losing to a fourth-division team in the English League Cup and being eliminated from the tournament, Amorim said that different thoughts come to mind whenever they lose a match, regardless of which match it is.
“Sometimes I get very angry at the players, and sometimes I love them. Similarly, I sometimes think about resigning from coaching, and other times I want to stay in this position for 20 years,” Amorim said.
Amorim, who took over as Manchester United’s coach in the middle of last season, has not yet achieved desirable results with the team. In the Premier League this season, they have lost one match and drawn another out of the two matches played so far, and they have been eliminated from the League Cup. The team will not compete in any European football tournament this ongoing season.
Amorim stated that he is still Manchester United’s coach, and therefore, all his focus is now on the upcoming league match, and he will work to achieve a good result in that match.
While Manchester United has not yet commented on Amorim’s future, some media reports suggest that the club has not made a decision regarding removing Amorim from his position.
