Shujau: Lack of Public Support for MDP is Not the Government’s Problem

Ibrahim Shujau, Member of Parliament for Baarah Constituency, stated that while President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s government continues to provide opportunities for opposition political parties to conduct activities, the lack of public support for MDP’s activities is not the government’s problem.

In a tweet today, MP Shujau said that President Dr. Muizzu has been providing ample opportunities for opposition political parties to conduct their activities. He noted that these opportunities have been provided whenever and wherever requested.

Shujau pointed out that the lack of public support for MDP’s march today is not the fault of the government or anyone else. He stated that MDP is losing public support because every time they come to power, they betray the nation, misuse public funds, and distribute the money among their close associates.

“Every time, we have to work hard to bring the country back to normalcy,” Shujau said.

MDP held a running event at Hulhumalé Central Park today to mark the party’s 20th anniversary.
