Aid organizations express disapproval of Israel’s cunning plan to control aid entering Gaza

International aid organizations have directed their disapproval towards Israel’s plan to take control of all aid entering Gaza to provide for the population in distress. The security council of the oppressive leader of the terrorist state of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has approved a plan to deploy temporary military forces to take control of food and other aid being provided to the 2.3 million impoverished residents of Gaza who are in distress.

According to Reuters, citing some sources, the terrorist state of Israel is now planning to besiege and take control of all of Gaza. This plan also includes forcing the Palestinian people to move to southern Gaza. The ultimate goal of this plan is said to be to impoverish the Palestinian people to the point where they cannot live in Gaza and force them to leave on their own, as proposed by Israel’s biggest supporter, US President Donald Trump.

This includes bringing all food distribution to Gaza under the control of Israeli terrorist forces and starving the Palestinian people. Although a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect on January 19, violating that agreement, Israeli forces resumed attacks on Gaza on March 18. The Gaza Ministry of Health revealed that the number of people martyred in the terrorist attacks since then has risen to over 2,300. Most of them are innocent women, innocent children, and the elderly with weakened physical strength.

The United Nations (UN) and international aid organizations have warned that food is running out in Gaza due to this aggression and blockade. Regarding this Israeli plan, the UN aid agency OCHA said this plan is directly contrary to the current dire situation in Gaza. OCHA said it is absolutely unacceptable to bring aid that must be provided to the people under the control of a party to the conflict. As such, OCHA has described this as completely contrary to international human rights principles. In addition to OCHA, other organizations active in providing aid to Gaza have also expressed disapproval of this Israeli plan.

Another expensive US military aircraft crashes into the Red Sea

A US military aircraft worth 70 million US dollars has crashed into the Red Sea. This is the second time a US military aircraft has crashed into the Red Sea within the past month. This time too, the aircraft that crashed into the sea was from the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman. The carrier was sent to the Red Sea to participate in military operations against the armed group Houthis operating in Yemen. After the failure of the military operation carried out in the name of eliminating the Houthis, US President Donald Trump has decided to halt the operation. Bombing of Yemen has also been suspended.

US sources said that the aircraft that crashed from USS Truman was an F-18 military aircraft. The aircraft crashed while attempting to land on the carrier after participating in military operations. Although the two pilots in the aircraft suffered some injuries in the incident, their lives were not in danger. They were rescued by a military helicopter. The aircraft crashed due to a problem with the ‘wire’ or cable used for landing on the carrier’s runway.

On April 28, another military aircraft from USS Truman also crashed into the sea. That incident occurred while attempting to move an aircraft that was on the carrier’s hangar deck to another area. In that incident too, a US Navy personnel was injured. However, no one’s life was in danger. That was also an expensive F/A-18 military aircraft.

Despite the crashes of two military aircraft, analysts studying the situation believe that USS Truman’s military operations are not likely to come to an end. Along with that carrier, a large number of vessels and submarines from the US military’s strike group are operating, with the main operation of the group being to protect the Jews. The biggest supporter of the Jews is US President Donald Trump.”

Air traffic in the region disrupted due to India-Pakistan confrontation

The exchange of attacks using heavy weapons between the two major military powers, India and Pakistan, has led to the cancellation of some flights and disrupted air traffic in the region. India and Pakistan, both nuclear-capable nations, began exchanging attacks with heavy weapons following India’s ballistic missile strike on Pakistan. In response, Pakistan claimed to have shot down five Indian warplanes. Due to the ongoing air attacks, Taiwan’s China Airlines and South Korea’s Korean Air have canceled some flights to the region via European routes and rerouted others.

As a result, flight tracking websites show a large number of flights operating in the airspace of Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. Pakistan’s relevant authorities stated that at the time of India’s air strike, 57 aircraft were flying in Pakistani airspace, putting the lives of hundreds of passengers on those flights at risk.

As tensions continue to escalate between the two countries, airlines traveling to India and Pakistan are canceling flights. Qatar Airways has also temporarily suspended its flights to Pakistan due to the closure of Pakistani airspace. Air India, IndiGo, and SpiceJet have also suspended flights to certain areas. India stated that it launched attacks on nine areas in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor in response to an armed attack on a tourist area in Indian Kashmir on April 22, which killed 26 civilians. India suspects that the attacks were carried out by terrorists affiliated with Pakistan-backed armed groups.

While India claimed its missile strikes targeted militant positions, Pakistan stated that civilians were killed in these attacks. Pakistan reported that 26 people were killed and 46 injured in the attacks. Videos showing damage to civilian homes and mosques from India’s attacks have been circulating. After the missile strike, the Indian government stated that it had retaliated for the attack on its tourists. The Indian government also said that it prioritized directly attacking militants to defend against potential future attacks, rather than confronting the Pakistani military.

Arsenal is the best team in the Champions League: Arteta

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has claimed that Arsenal is the best club in this year’s UEFA Champions League. Speaking to journalists after losing to France’s PSG in the Champions League semi-final, Arteta said he was proud of his team’s players. “I’m proud of these players and I’m 100% certain that Arsenal is the best club among those who competed in the Champions League this season. However, we have been eliminated from the tournament without reaching the final,” Arteta said.

Arteta further stated that the team played well in both semi-final matches and created good opportunities, but if they had converted those chances into goals, the team would have been in the final. As Arsenal worked to secure a place in the Champions League final for the first time since 2006, Arteta said it was a heartbreaking moment to see the players’ disappointment in the changing room after the match.

Arteta further said that in both matches against PSG, the difference was made by PSG’s goalkeeper, Italy’s Gianluigi Donnarumma. He also said that looking at the players’ performance in this tournament, many good things were seen, and based on that experience, they will work to achieve good results in the upcoming tournament.

In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final last night, PSG defeated Arsenal with an aggregate score of 3-1 to secure a place in the tournament final. While PSG had won the first leg match between these two teams with a 1-0 result, they won last night’s match with a 2-1 score.

In this match played at Paris’s Parc des Princes Stadium in front of 47,000 people, both teams displayed competitive gameplay, and PSG’s goalkeeper, Italy’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, once again showed an excellent performance. Donnarumma, who had blocked many of Arsenal’s attacks in the first leg, again played superbly in last night’s match, defending against numerous dangerous attacks from Arsenal. Notably, he saved two attacks from Gabriel Martinelli and Captain Martin Ødegaard.

PSG scored the first goal of the match in the 27th minute. This goal was secured for the team when Arsenal’s Thomas Partey headed the ball away, which fell to Fabian Ruiz about 20 yards from the goal, who then shot it into the net with one touch. Shortly after PSG scored, Arsenal had a good opportunity to equalize the match result. However, Bukayo Saka’s powerful shot was once again saved by PSG’s goalkeeper Donnarumma.

PSG extended their lead in the 72nd minute of the match when Achraf Hakimi capitalized on a mistake by Arsenal’s Thomas Partey. However, four minutes later, Arsenal’s Saka scored a goal. With this goal, Arsenal’s gameplay accelerated, but the team was unable to score another goal. While PSG has secured a place in the Champions League final for the second time, this time they will face Italy’s Inter Milan, aiming to win this tournament for the first time after erasing the memories of losing to Germany’s Bayern Munich in the 2020 final.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Abdullah Rafiu has stated that he believes the Maldives national team will win a gold medal in the near future at the South Asian Regional Youth Table Tennis Championship. Highlighting the success achieved by the Maldives national table tennis team at the 10th South Asian Regional Youth Table Tennis Championship held in Kathmandu, Nepal, the Minister said that the tournament has brought many advancements for Maldivian players.

“The biggest success is that the 10th South Asian Regional Youth Table Tennis Championship turned out to be a tournament where we saw a lot of improvement,” the Minister noted. The Minister said that the Maldives table tennis team has been representing the country at an international level for many years, but the difference between then and now is the progress made by the players. In this regard, the Minister highlighted that compared to before, the current players’ skill level has improved and advanced significantly, stating that there is not much difference now between the players representing the Maldives in the international arena and the players from other competitive countries.

“The biggest difference we saw was in the points we scored in our sets compared to other countries we played against before and this year. There’s now a very small difference between the two countries,” the Minister said. Noting that this demonstrates the rapid progress of this sport, the Minister said that with a little more effort, a gold medal is not far away. In this regard, the Minister has said that if coaches and players put in extra effort, winning a gold medal is something that can be done very easily.

“If we put in an extra effort, the message we got from this tournament is that reaching gold is very easy. So I would say this is a great success,” he said. The Maldives national team has brought back a silver medal and two bronze medals to the country after competing in the South Asian Regional Youth Table Tennis Championship. The Maldives under-15 and under-19 table tennis teams returned with this success last Thursday. The tournament was held in Nepal from April 24 to 27.”
