European Union’s Warning: High Risk of Third World War!

0

The European Union has stated that the way things are currently progressing in the world, there is a high risk of a third world war breaking out.

Warning of the increasing risk of a third world war, the European Union has called for its 450 million citizens to remain vigilant. In an 18-page statement released by the European Commission, citizens have been implored to store enough food for at least 72 hours. The European Commission’s statement says that if a war breaks out, living conditions could become very precarious in the first few days. It also warns of increased risks of cyber attacks, spread of dangerous diseases, and flooding due to environmental changes.

European Council President Antonio Costa has said that if Russia views Ukraine’s territory as just a line drawn on a map, the hope for establishing peace is far from reality. Additionally, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has warned about preparing to maintain Europe’s safety and security without the United States. As the U.S. warns that Europe should focus on its own safety and security in the future, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has called for unity as European countries strengthen their military and defense industries.

NATO is an organization founded 76 years ago to bring stability to Europe. In this situation, the Maldives also needs to be cautious. This is because a large part of the Maldivian economy is based on tourism, and any dangerous incident in the global arena will negatively impact the Maldives’ tourism industry.

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he will attack Iran if they do not sign a nuclear agreement as desired by the United States. On Sunday, President Donald Trump warned that he would bomb Iran if they do not sign a nuclear agreement. In a phone interview with NBC News, Trump said that officials from the U.S. and Iran are currently in talks. However, he did not reveal details about this.

“If an agreement isn’t reached, there will be bombing,” Trump said.

He also warned of the possibility of reintroducing tariffs for the second time, as was done four years ago, if an agreement isn’t reached. During his first term from 2017-2021, Trump withdrew the U.S. from the 2015 agreement between Iran and world powers. That agreement set strict standards for Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for easing sanctions.

Afterward, Trump reintroduced sanctions on America. Subsequently, Iran has advanced its uranium enrichment program far beyond the agreed levels. Iran has so far responded to Trump’s warning. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran has responded to Trump’s letter through Oman. In that letter, Trump called on Tehran to work towards a new nuclear agreement.

Despite warning of the potential consequences of war, Iran has so far refused to work towards an agreement. Western powers accuse Iran of secretly working to acquire the capability to produce powerful weapons. However, Iran says its atomic energy program is for civilian purposes. The world’s eyes are on the U.S. and Iran to see if there will be further progress on this issue. Many political analysts believe there is a risk that the relationship between these two countries could worsen further, endangering regional and international peace.

Therefore, they also see the mediation of the international community as important in resolving this issue. The European Union has also said there is a risk of a third world war if these issues are not resolved.

Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim, has stated that the meaning conveyed by heritage is the robust ways and characteristics in people’s lives. The Minister said this while speaking to PSM News regarding a symbolic event held last night on the streets of Male’ by the ministry to showcase “Hichchah Vadaigathun” (royal procession) to the current generation as part of Eid al-Fitr celebrations. Hichchah Vadaigathun is a part of Maldivian history and heritage practiced by kings, which is now obsolete in the Maldives. Therefore, to demonstrate Hichchah Vadaigathun to the current generation, the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage organized a symbolic event on the streets of Male’ in collaboration with students from Villa International High School, Airports, Customs, MNU, and various other institutions.

Speaking to PSM News about this event, Minister Adam Naseer Ibrahim said that the Hichchah Vadaigathun activity was designed as a representation to showcase this practice. He added that this representation was brought by the historical experience expert and Maldivian history veteran, Kathima Ahmed Shakir. “Officially, this activity historically takes place as a royal event involving the kings. This happens on specific days or nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan. It’s a very colorful and majestic event. Various foods are prepared for this, including a ‘Hithige’ (special house). A place called ‘Dhathfiyafaali’ is also prepared. Some other rituals are also included in this. Tonight’s activity is a symbolic event to represent Hichchah Vadaigathun and demonstrate it to the current generation,” said Minister Adam Naseer.

The Minister said that it is necessary to research and examine how these practices are historically connected. This includes studying how these practices originated, the meanings derived from them, and the role they played in Maldivian life. Looking at the past, the Minister said that Hichchah Vadaigathun is marked by three periods. These are the most ancient primitive way of Hichchah Vadaigathun, how it was during Shamsuddin’s era, and how it was during Muhammad Fareed’s era. He also mentioned that Muhammad Ameen also participated in Hichchah Vadaigathun.

Minister Adam Naseer Ibrahim said that the meaning conveyed by heritage is the robust ways and characteristics in people’s lives. He added that such historical activities also showcase the Maldivian identity and personality. The Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, Adam Naseer Ibrahim, stated that the lesson learned from such historical and heritage practices is the importance of living together in unity, being obedient to leaders, respecting each other, and shaping life in a way that defends each other’s freedom within defined boundaries.

I won’t become Brazil’s coach: Ancelotti

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has stated that he will not take up the vacant position of Brazil’s national team coach. Speaking to journalists on Saturday after Real’s most recent match, Coach Ancelotti said he would respect his agreement with Real Madrid. The Brazilian Federation had previously attempted to recruit him. However, Ancelotti has not confirmed having such discussions through former Brazilian forward Ronaldo Nazário.

“No (when asked if he would accept Brazil’s coaching position). I’m under contract with Real. I have a close relationship with Brazil’s national team, Brazilian players, and clubs. I also consult with Ronaldo frequently. But I don’t remember discussing anything like that,” Ancelotti said. The Brazilian Federation began negotiations with Ancelotti a year and a half ago through Ronaldo, whom Ancelotti had coached at AC Milan. When Ronaldo ran for the presidency of the Brazilian Football Federation, the plan was to bring either Ancelotti or Pep Guardiola as the national coach. Ronaldo agreed to this. Ancelotti had also previously expressed interest in coaching Brazil’s national team. However, he renewed his contract with Real last year when corruption issues surfaced involving the current Brazilian Football Federation president, Ednaldo Rodríguez.

Although he has not previously coached a national team, Ancelotti is one of the most successful coaches in club football. Ancelotti has also previously stated that after his job at Real, he would next be seen with a national team. Dorival Júnior was dismissed as Brazil’s coach last Thursday due to very poor results. Ancelotti is also among the three coaches shortlisted by the Brazilian Football Federation for the new coaching position.

President’s Eid Message: “Don’t let the remembrance of Gaza’s people fade while expressing joy”

0

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that we should not let the remembrance of Gaza’s Muslim people fade while expressing the joy of Eid al-Fitr.

The President said this in his address on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr 1446.

The President said that while expressing the joy of Eid al-Fitr, we should not let even the slightest dimness come to remembering the Muslim people of Gaza, and we should not forget the cries of Gaza’s beloved children. He added that we should always maintain our well-wishes and good prayers with our beloved brothers and sisters in Palestine.

The President further said that the entire life of Muslims should be based on goodness, and that everything we do should be done in a good way, and every word we say should be said in a good manner.

“In addition to the fasting we observe during Ramadan, we increase good deeds, seek forgiveness, and increase supplications to maintain this standard,” the President said.

Noting that Eid day is a day when we face a new year of life after the end of Ramadan, the President said that after spending all the time in worship during Ramadan, we get new days again with the hope of receiving divine pleasure and forgiveness. Therefore, the President advised that the most special resolution of Eid day should be to strive to reform oneself in the coming days as we asked in the presence of Allah for self-improvement, and to keep all actions within the sublime boundaries of Islam both in enjoying the joys of Eid and afterwards in everything we do.

The President noted that the government will work to make the Maldives a model nation in upholding the sublime slogans of the noble Islamic religion, and that arranging for islands to be lit up and for the sound of Takbeer to resound are things introduced for that purpose in enjoying the joy of Eid.

“We should work to make Eid day a day of spreading goodness. We should look to make Eid day a day that brings smiles to children’s faces. It’s important for Eid day to be a day when family ties are strengthened and a new spirit of kinship is gained, as well as a day with the participation of youth, senior citizens, and the entire community,” the President said.
