President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially launched the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) service in the islands of South Maalhosmadulu Atoll (B. Atoll). The President inaugurated this service during his ongoing tour of the atoll’s islands. The official launch of RTL service in B. Atoll took place during a special ceremony held in Eydhafushi. The Minister of Civil Aviation, Mohamed Ameen, and MTCC CEO Ahmed Saudi participated in this ceremony.

As the RTL service was launched in Eydhafushi, the President had announced in this year’s Presidential Address that this service would begin in the atoll this year. Although the trips were officially inaugurated today, they had unofficially begun on July 28th. Prior to launching the RTL service in B. Atoll, the process of hiring and training staff had been carried out. With the service now launched in B. Atoll, the trips will operate on two routes. Two high-speed ferries will be used for this service. The routes have been designed to facilitate travel to the atoll capital for airport services and other general services.

Similar to other atolls, the first week of service in B. Atoll was conducted as familiarization trips. These trips were offered free of charge. The routes and fares for the trips will be available on the RTL application and website.
