The Maldives has welcomed over 560,000 tourists so far this year, marking a 5.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Resorts remain the most popular choice for visitors, hosting the majority of arrivals. China, Russia, and the United Kingdom continue to be the leading source markets for the Maldivian tourism industry. Although daily arrivals have averaged around 4,000 due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East, the government remains committed to its target of reaching 2.5 million tourist arrivals by the end of this year.
