Yesterday’s Friday sermon focused on the profound significance of piety (Taqwa) and repentance (Tawbah). As the holy month of Ramadan serves as a season of virtue and divine forgiveness, the sermon emphasized that repentance entails feeling sincere remorse for one’s sins, making a firm resolve not to repeat them, and returning to the path of Allah (SWT).

Furthermore, it was highlighted that piety is intrinsically linked to the sincerity of the heart, manifested through steadfast obedience to Allah’s commands and the avoidance of His prohibitions.

In addition, to uphold the sanctity of Ramadan, the sermon urged that dining arrangements for tourists in inhabited islands should be managed discreetly and not be openly visible to the public. It also appealed to those who have valid religious excuses for not fasting to remain mindful and respectful of the holiness of this month.
