Real Madrid once again becomes the most valuable team

Real Madrid has once again become the world’s most valuable football team. According to Forbes magazine, Real Madrid has done business worth $6.6 billion in the past year. Real is also the first club among world football clubs to earn a billion dollars in revenue. The club’s revenue for the past season was $1.13 billion. Despite poor on-field results, Manchester United from England ranks second on this list. In the past season, United has done business worth $6.6 billion. The revenue was $834 million. United finished the previous season in 15th place in the English league, having finished 8th in the season before last.

Real’s biggest rival, Barcelona from Spain, ranks third on the list of most valuable clubs. Despite financial difficulties, Barcelona has done business worth $5.6 billion in the past season. The fourth and fifth on the list are English champion Liverpool and former four-time champion Manchester City. Other English teams in the top 10 are Arsenal, Tottenham, and Chelsea. In addition, the list includes PSG from France and German champion Bayern Munich.

Forbes stated that the world’s top 30 clubs did business worth $72 billion in the past season. This is an average of $2.4 billion in business per team. And this is a 5 percent increase compared to the previous year.
