
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Maafaruu of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll (N. Atoll). The President was warmly welcomed at the Maafaruu International Airport. Maafaruu is the first island the President is visiting as part of his tour of N. Atoll. During this trip, he will meet with the Island Council, heads of institutions, and the Women’s Development Committee. The President will also meet with the residents of Maafaruu.
As part of the President’s visit, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Island Council building is scheduled to take place. Additionally, the foundation will be laid and construction work will begin on the Police Station being developed on the island. The President will participate in both of these ceremonies. The President’s tour will cover all 13 inhabited islands of N. Atoll. As such, during this trip, he will visit N. Henbadhoo, Holhudhoo, Lhohi, Kudafaree, Kendhikulhudhoo, Velidhoo, Manadhoo, Magoodhoo, Maafaru, Miladhoo, and Fodhdhoo.
