
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the results of the trust placed in him by the people of Kudarikilu will be visible in their island. The President said this while addressing the people of Kudarikilu during a meeting. In his speech, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu mentioned that he had made promises regarding the needs of the people when he visited Kudarikilu during the presidential election. The President said that he would demonstrate the results of the trust placed in him during the election, and that arrangements have been made to carry out necessary work in all islands like Kudarikilu.
Noting that the previous difficulties in implementing projects on islands have now been resolved and a way forward has been found, the President assured that all promises would be fulfilled. He stated that as a first step, the stalled water and sewerage system project in project in the island has been reactivated, with all preparations completed to move forward. The President said that the initiation phase of the work has now been achieved, and the project will begin this month, progressing at a rapid pace without interruption. He also mentioned that the entire project would be completed within a maximum of 6 months. Additionally, the President said that the promise to construct roads has been assigned to RDC, and road construction will begin as soon as the water and sewerage project is completed.
“As the water and sewerage project progresses, we have decided to start road construction. That will move forward,” the President said. He stated that the halted work at the island’s school would also be resumed and carried out at a fast pace. The President said that upon completion of this work, a multi-purpose hall would also be developed. “Similarly, strengthening the healthcare system is also my promise. We are now starting to upgrade the health center to improve the healthcare system. That work will also progress well,” the President said.
The President mentioned that he had also promised to build a mosque in Kudarikilu, and that work would begin as soon as the council allocates the land. He also said that as part of the efforts to establish sports facilities, the construction of a full-fledged football ground, a fitness and recreation center, and a handball court would proceed. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu assured that he would closely monitor all these projects and complete them to the satisfaction of the people.
