President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has participated in a special meeting held by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in honor of the dignitaries who performed Hajj. The meeting was attended by leaders of various states, dignitaries, special guests of the King who came for Hajj, and heads of Hajj missions from different countries.
Notably, at this year’s meeting, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu was seated right next to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The President and First Lady attended this year’s Hajj pilgrimage on a special invitation from the Saudi government. Some ministers also accompanied the President.

Saudi Arabia has made convenient arrangements for the pilgrims who came to the country to perform the noble act of Hajj this year. The President has expressed gratitude to the King of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the special hospitality, services, and facilities provided to Hajj pilgrims and those coming for Umrah. The Saudi government has always been facilitating many conveniences for Maldivian pilgrims. Especially with the inclusion of the Maldives in the Makkah Route Initiative with special permission, the travel burdens for Maldivian pilgrims have been greatly eased starting from this year. Additionally, many services have been further facilitated at the places where Maldivian pilgrims stay to complete the Hajj rituals.
