President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has personally inspected the ongoing progress of the project to modernize and asphalt the roads in Malé’s commercial market district. Under this initiative, contracted to MTCC, a 250-meter stretch extending from the Local Market to the North Harbor is currently being developed. The President stated that the work in this area is expected to be completed before the month of Ramadan, allowing the roads to be widened for two-way traffic. With the sub-base work now concluded, the application of asphalt and the installation of streetlights are scheduled to commence within this week. Upon completion, this project is set to significantly alleviate congestion in the market area, providing immense ease for the public and businesses in terms of transportation and the movement of goods.
