
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the new building of the Himandhoo Health Center in Alif Alif Atoll. The President opened the new facility during his ongoing tour of Alif Alif Atoll. The new building of Himandhoo Health Center includes a public health unit, a clinic to assist in quitting tobacco use, and a clinic for non-communicable diseases. It also houses a maternity clinic and a children’s health clinic.
While inaugurating the new building of Himandhoo Health Center, it has also been arranged to commence the construction work of a new police building on the island. As part of this trip, the President is scheduled to meet with the Himandhoo Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and the residents. The institutional leaders and residents of Himandhoo extended a warm welcome to the President upon his arrival. During this three-day trip, the President is set to visit 8 inhabited islands in Alif Alif Atoll. These include Thoddoo, Rasdhoo, Ukulhas, Mathiveri, Bodufolhudhoo, Feridhoo, and Maalhos.

This trip to Alif Alif Atoll is part of the President’s series of visits to all atolls in the Maldives, aimed at meeting with atoll, island, and city councils. The President is accompanied by some cabinet ministers and senior officials from various government institutions on this trip.
