President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with Dr. Mohamed Zahir Hussain (Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin) following his resignation from the post of Chancellor of the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM). During the meeting, the President expressed his profound gratitude for the sincere and dedicated service Dr. Zahir rendered during his tenure as Chancellor.
As a mark of appreciation for over 49 years of exemplary service to the nation and the education sector, the President presented Dr. Zahir with a special letter of recognition. Dr. Zahir’s distinguished career includes serving as the Minister of Education and holding the Chancellorship at both national universities. In recognition of his immense contributions, he has been honored with the highest accolades for service to Maldivian education, as well as the prestigious title of the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin.
