
The President of the Republic met with the Thulhaadhoo Council of South Maalhosmadulu Atoll, the Women’s Development Committee, and leaders of some of the island’s institutions to discuss the most important issues for the island’s residents. This meeting was held at Thulhaadhoo School.
During this meeting, among the issues highlighted by the council members were finding an island for residents to relocate to and expediting the resolution of the harbor entrance problem. They also requested the implementation of a housing project for the island’s residents, addressing the lack of spare parts for the island’s powerhouse, expediting the delayed construction of the island’s court building, and establishing a handball court on the island. The institutional leaders who participated in thisd in this meeting highlighted issues including the need for repairs and administrative staff for the island’s school, and the need for staff at the Thulhaadhoo Health Center.

At this meeting, the President assured that he would look into the issues raised by the council. Through the ministers and state company executives who participated in the meeting, he shared up-to-date information on the ongoing projects on the island.
