Portugal equalized for the second time in the 61st minute with a goal from captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the penalty shootout, Portugal successfully converted all five of their penalties, while Spain’s fourth penalty taken by Alvaro Morata was saved by Portugal’s goalkeeper Diogo Costa.
