Minister Dr. Abdulla Muthalib has stated that applicants applying for flats and land plots through the government’s “Hiyaavehi” portal will be able to view their score details immediately upon submission. In this current scheme, the government has opened applications for 15,000 land plots and 7,900 flats in the Male’ region, with the condition that applicants may only apply for one of the two options. Furthermore, those who previously received documentation guaranteeing housing but have yet to be allocated a flat are also eligible to apply through this portal.
The Minister further emphasized the critical importance of providing accurate information during the application process, noting that the government will undergo a rigorous verification process for all submitted data. He urged applicants to ensure all necessary documentation is complete before filing their applications, rather than rushing the submission. The deadline for land plot applications is March 4, while the deadline for flat applications is April 17. Following the receipt of applications, provisional lists will be released once the authenticity of the submitted information has been thoroughly verified.
