Over 42,000 tourists visited the Maldives last week, total number reaches half a million

Statistics show that more than 42,000 tourists visited the Maldives in the past week. With these numbers, over 95,000 tourists have visited the Maldives in the first 15 days of this month. According to tourism statistics, a total of 42,743 tourists arrived in the Maldives last week. This is a 4% decrease compared to the 44,565 tourists who arrived the previous week.

So far this year, more than half a million tourists have visited the Maldives. Statistics show that 524,709 tourists have visited the Maldives year-to-date. This is a 5.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Currently, an average of 6,384 tourists arrive in the Maldives each day. China has been the top source market for tourists to the Maldives so far this year, with over 60,000 visitors.

According to tourism statistics, more than 300,000 tourists who have visited the Maldives so far this year have stayed in resorts. The government’s target for this year is to attract 2.3 million tourists.
