According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, the Maldives has welcomed over 200,000 tourists so far this month, marking a significant growth compared to the past two years. The total number of arrivals for the current year has now reached 428,169, with the 14th of this month recording the highest daily influx of 11,136 tourists. The leading source markets include China, Russia, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Germany, with the majority of visitors choosing to spend their holidays in resorts. Both the government and private sector stakeholders are actively engaged in various initiatives to further expand and promote the Maldivian tourism industry.
