The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has announced that Maldivian businesses have been offered the opportunity to participate in the “Asia Berlin Summit,” which will be held in Berlin, the capital of Germany. The “Asia Berlin Summit” is scheduled to take place from November 24th to 28th this year. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade stated that the German government, through the Maldivian Mission in Berlin, had informed the Ministry about this opportunity for Maldivian businesses to participate in the summit.
Held under the theme “Connecting Startup Ecosystems for Diversity and Innovation,” this summit is an important event where international innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors will participate. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has stated that the summit will primarily focus on five key sectors: Health, Tech, Fin-Tech, Green-Tech, Mobility, and Creative Economy.
The Asia-Berlin Summit serves as a valuable platform for Maldivian businesses to showcase their innovation landscape and startup ecosystem. Various activities are planned at the summit to foster connections with entrepreneurs from different countries and facilitate new business opportunities. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade further stated that opportunities are open at the summit to participate in exclusive roundtables, co-host sessions or cultural showcases, and even to sponsor cultural food at events to highlight one’s national heritage.
It has been stated that all travel expenses related to this summit are the sole responsibility of the participating businesses. However, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade added that the Maldivian Mission in Berlin will provide other necessary assistance to the participants.
