North Korea has launched several ballistic missiles from its eastern coast into the sea.

This marks the first instance of such missile activity by North Korea in approximately two months. The missiles were launched from the Pyongyang region toward the waters situated between the Korean Peninsula and Japan, and it is believed that they have since fallen into the sea.

The launches took place just hours before South Korean President Lee Jae-myung began a state visit to China. During this visit, he is expected to hold discussions on maintaining peace within the Korean Peninsula and seek China’s assistance in facilitating further dialogue with North Korea.

These missile tests come at a time when the United States has reportedly conducted an operation in Venezuela, resulting in the arrest and removal of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife from the country. North Korea has condemned these actions by the United States, characterizing them as a violation of Venezuela’s national sovereignty.
