National women’s futsal head coach Athif Mohamed has asserted that despite the lack of optimal facilities to prepare for the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship, the team remains committed to achieving positive results rather than making excuses. Speaking prior to the team’s departure for Thailand, he highlighted that notwithstanding the brief preparation period, the team’s dedicated efforts have instilled a strong sense of optimism for success in the tournament.
As the Maldives prepares to face a formidable Indian side in their opening match, the coach emphasized that their primary focus is to deliver a top-tier performance to secure a win, transcending any challenges related to resources. The championship, which features seven nations from the region, is scheduled to take place from the 13th to the 27th of this month.
