New Radiant Sports Club has introduced its newly signed coaches, players, and sponsors for the upcoming football season. At a ceremony held on held on Tuesday night at Dhimyaath, Ali Suzain was introduced as the team’s coach. Suzain is an experienced coach who, until recently, was the coach of the national football team. Additionally, Suzain is a legend of Victory Sports Club, New Radiant’s biggest rival. Under Suzain, Aafiu Mohamed Hamid and Mohamed Faisal will work as assistant coaches for New Radiant.
Looking at the players newly signed to New Radiant for the upcoming football season, they include Ali Ashfag (Dhagandey), considered the best football player produced in the Maldives, and Ali Fasir (Sentey), the national team forward who played for Maziya Sports and Recreation. In addition, two important players from Maziya, Hassan Raif Ahmed (Hanna) and Ahmed Irufaan (Irey), are also included. Moreover, notable players from Super United Sports (SUS), including Mohamed Nizam (PK), Ahnaf Rasheed, and Mohamed Sakha, have also signed with New Radiant.
As New Radiant prepares to face the upcoming football season with a strong squad under the guidance of experienced coach Suzain, it is now expected that the team will compete in the first division. This is due to SUS informing the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) that they will not be able to compete in the first division for the upcoming season.
