New Himandhoo Mosque Work to be Completed This Year: President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the work on the new mosque in AA. Himandhoo will be completed within this year. The President said this while speaking at a meeting with the people of AA. Himandhoo. During the meeting with the people of Himandhoo, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that the government is closely monitoring the progress of the mosque’s construction. The President also mentioned that the aim is to complete the work before the end of this year.

In a post shared on social media, Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said that 75 percent of the work on the mosque being built by the government in Himandhoo has been completed. The Minister also stated that the government has spent 5.7 million rufiyaa on the mosque’s construction. The Minister said that they are working to complete the Himandhoo mosque project by the end of this year.

The actual construction work of the mosque being developed in Himandhoo began on June 18, 2023. The new mosque being developed in Himandhoo has a capacity for 300 people. The new mosque in Himandhoo is being built in the harbor area of the island. The construction work is being carried out by a company called Elite International Private Limited.

The state is spending 10,312,301.43 rufiyaa on the construction of this mosque. In addition to space for men, the mosque will also have prayer areas for women.
