
Fathimath Naya Waheed from Naivaadhoo School has won the gold medal in the under-15 girls’ shot put category at the ongoing Inter-School Athletics Meet 2025 in Kulhudhuffushi City. Naya secured the gold medal by throwing the shot put 7.81 meters, earning 10 points. The silver medal was won by Saee Mohamed Wasif from Sh. Atoll Education Center, who threw 7.34 meters and scored 8 points. The bronze medal was claimed by Fathimath Yooly Husain from Jamaluddin School, who threw 7.21 meters and scored 6 points.
In the under-17 girls’ high jump category, the gold medal was won by Aminath Eeman Aboobakuru from Afeefuddin School. She jumped a height of 1.09 meters. Additionally, in the final events held this evening, Mishka Ahmed Mohamed from Jamaluddin School won first place in the under-14 girls’ discus throw. Second place went to Imna Ahmed Naseer from Makunudhoo School, while third place was secured by Fathimath Aaya Ahmed Ramzee from Naivaadhoo School.
In the under-13 boys’ long jump category, Ahmed Leisan Adam Naseem from Nolhivaranfaru School won first place. He jumped a distance of 2.02 meters, earning 10 points. Second place went to Abdullah Zalaf Ibrahim from Milandhoo School, who jumped 1.92 meters and scored 8 points. Ibrahim Razaan Ramzee from Makunudhoo School took third place, also jumping 1.92 meters but scoring 6 points.
In the under-13 girls’ 70-meter hurdles, Siyana Ahmed Ziyad from Naivaadhoo School won first place. Aishath Sheen Fazir from Milandhoo School came in second, while Malha Ahmed Rameez from Naivaadhoo School secured third place.
