A cohort of participants who successfully completed their initial National Service training has departed for B. Kihaadhoo to undergo specialized technical training. The National Service Technical Training is a program specifically designed for students who have concluded the National Service Initial Training. According to the Ministry of Defence, the participants in this technical program were selected from the first batch of National Service graduates, who completed their initial training on December 15 and expressed interest in pursuing further technical expertise.

The Ministry further detailed that this cohort comprises 70 participants—54 males and 16 females—representing 35 islands across 15 atolls. The training will be conducted at the School of Engineering and Logistics in Kihaadhoo. This intensive four-month program will award successful graduates with a minimum of a Level 3 Certificate.

The Maldives National Service training program is a strategic initiative aimed at nurturing a disciplined and productive young generation. It focuses on building resilient citizens who are physically and mentally healthy, possess a deep love for Maldivian national identity, and are well-prepared for the workforce. The first batch of the National Service program, consisting of 344 students, celebrated their graduation on December 28.
