Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has stated that the National Roadmap on Disability Inclusion represents the government’s most significant initiative to ensure an inclusive society where no one is left behind. Speaking at the official launch of the roadmap, the Vice President emphasized that providing employment and training opportunities for persons with disabilities is a key priority of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
He further noted that within the past two years, employment has been secured for 367 individuals with disabilities. This new roadmap focuses on providing sustainable access to education, training, and employment, while ensuring necessary facilities are in place to facilitate their full participation in all aspects of community life.
