
Minister Adam Shareef Umar has appealed to immediately report any corruption-related matters observed within the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The Minister made this appeal during a meeting held this morning with all staff of the ministry.
According to a tweet by the ministry on X (formerly Twitter), Minister Adam Shareef, in line with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s efforts against corruption, urged the ministry staff to work against corruption as per the President’s guidance. He instructed that any signs or instances of corruption or misconduct should be reported to him immediately.
Furthermore, the Minister also appealed to share such information with the relevant government institution, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). A major investigation is ongoing regarding the case where a plot of land was allocated to Mohamed Fazeel Rasheed, Deputy Managing Director of MWSC and brother of then-HDC Managing Director Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed, before meeting the eligibility criteria for Rasheed, before meeting the eligibility criteria for the Binverin scheme.
Recently, President Muizzu has also stated that there will be no room for corruption within this administration.
