
MIFCO has released 7 million rufiyaa for fish purchased from fishermen. MIFCO said that payments for fish weighed at MIFCO centers by vessels on the 8th of this month were deposited between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM today. MIFCO also stated that other bank transfers have now been completed.
According to MIFCO, 7,489,176 rufiyaa was released to 40 fishing vessels that had weighed fish. While MIFCO has released 7 million rufiyaa to fishermen today, they also mentioned that the remaining unpaid amount is for fish weighed on the 9th of this month, which is 6 million rufiyaa. MIFCO has been paying for weighed fish within 48 hours, in line with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s pledge.
