The national airline, Maldivian, has announced its decision to increase flights to Lhohi Madivaru Airport. This expansion of services will commence on the 22nd of this month. Currently, Maldivian operates two flights per week to Madivaru. However, effective from the aforementioned date, the airline will increase its frequency to three flights per week to Madivaru Airport. These flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The one-way fare for a Maldivian flight to Madivaru is MVR 799.
Maldivian consistently adjusts its flight schedules by introducing additional flights to various destinations in response to demand. This proactive approach has been evident during peak periods such as Eid and other public holidays, where Maldivian has augmented its services to both domestic and international routes. Madivaru Airport, inaugurated in 2022, is equipped with a 1200-meter runway, a dedicated aircraft parking area, a fire station, and a modern, well-appointed terminal facility.
