The national airline Maldivian will start flights to another Chinese city today. The flights are scheduled to begin to Shenzhen, China. These flights will commence tonight. Maldivian has been working to expand its international routes. In January of this year, Maldivian started flights to three destinations in China. These were to Chengdu, Beijing, and Shanghai. Maldivian is starting seasonal flights to Shenzhen. The company has stated that they will operate one flight per week until August 21.

Maldivian’s flights to Chinese destinations began in January with the wide-body aircraft added to the company’s fleet. The introduction of wide-body aircraft to Maldivian’s fleet is a promise fulfilled by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. Work is underway to bring an additional wide-body aircraft within this year.
