Visit Maldives (MMPRC) has officially signed an agreement to participate in the “Belgrade Expo 2027,” which is scheduled to take place next year in Belgrade, Serbia. The agreement was signed on behalf of Visit Maldives by its CEO, Ibrahim Shiuree. Anticipated to host over 120 countries from May to August next year, this expo presents a significant opportunity to promote the Maldives within the European market.
Visit Maldives is currently preparing to showcase the country’s tourism industry, environmental conservation efforts, and rich cultural heritage at the expo. This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with relevant government institutions. With the initial planning phase completed, efforts are now focused on the design and practical preparations of the Maldives pavilion. This participation is a strategic step toward enhancing the global profile of the Maldives and promoting sustainable tourism on an international stage.
