The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), operating as Visit Maldives, has announced its readiness to participate in five international tourism exhibitions during the first quarter of this year to promote the Maldives. In a statement regarding its activities for the first quarter, Visit Maldives highlighted that the objective of participating in these events is to enhance the Maldives’ popularity among tourists and to sustain the industry’s presence in its major source markets.
As part of the strategy to advertise the Maldives at world-class tourism fairs, the first engagement will be at the “FITUR 2026” fair in Madrid, Spain, scheduled from January 21st to 25th. This will be followed by participation in the “Travel & Adventure Show” in New York, USA, from January 24th to 26th. Visit Maldives stated that these two events aim to bolster the country’s appeal within the European and North American markets. Furthermore, in February, Visit Maldives will take part in “SATTE 2026” in New Delhi, India—one of the top source markets for Maldivian tourism. This exhibition is set to take place from February 25th to 27th.
