The Maldives has successfully concluded its showcase at ITB Berlin 2026, the world’s leading travel trade fair. Represented by 159 delegates from 67 different companies, the Maldives conducted a series of highly effective promotional activities. This year’s exhibition featured the largest Maldivian stand to date, uniquely designed to resemble a safari vessel, which received an overwhelming response from visitors.
Key highlights of the event included the formal signing of an agreement for the Maldives to host ITB Berlin next year, along with the hosting of the prestigious ‘Maldivian Night’. Visit Maldives stated that this successful participation will significantly strengthen the Maldives’ position in the global tourism industry and pave the way for expansion into new and emerging markets.
