In a press release, MACL stated that some parties are spreading false information on social media, causing unrest among employees by suggesting that changes are being made to their salaries and benefits.
The company asserted that these are baseless rumors deliberately spread to hinder the tireless efforts of their employees who are working day and night to open the new terminal at Velana International Airport, and to undermine employee trust in the company. MACL emphasized that no such discussions have ever taken place within the company, and there are no plans to implement any such changes.
MACL has assured that they will continue to provide salaries and benefits to their employees in the future as they have been doing, without any changes, following the same principles and guidelines. The company stated that its employees are its most valuable asset, and they will always work for the benefit and welfare of their staff.
The company has appealed to those spreading such rumors to cease disseminating false information and to responsibly align their statements with the facts. MACL also noted that freedom of expression should be exercised without distorting the truth and with accurate information.
