A formal complaint has been lodged with the relevant authorities seeking legal action against former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed for circulating a photograph of PNC activist Mariyam Shiuna without her hijab on social media. Shiuna has alleged that Dr. Jameel utilized the image for political purposes, aiming to subject her to public harassment and ridicule. This dispute surfaced following a social media post by Dr. Jameel, in which he accused a website operated by PNC activists of disseminating defamatory information regarding Male’ mayoral candidate Ismail Zariyand.
