Tens of thousands of people have gathered and raised their voices in Sydney and many other cities across Australia in support of Palestine’s rights. The Palestinian Action Group, which organized these gatherings, stated that approximately 30,000 people participated in today’s rally in Sydney. The organization also reported that similar gatherings took place in 27 locations across Australia. However, the police have not officially disclosed the formal number of participants in these demonstrations. Many participants in these gatherings voiced their distrust that Israel would respect the agreement established between Hamas and Israel on October 9th to bring an end to the aggression in Gaza.

Furthermore, even if the agreement persists, these gatherings also called for the liberation of the Palestinian people from Israeli occupation in Gaza and the West Bank. Since the Israeli terrorist forces began their aggression in Gaza on October 7, 2023, numerous protests against it have been held in Australia, calling for the protection of Palestinian rights. The aggression in Gaza has been brought to a halt only after more than 67,000 people were martyred in Israel’s brutal attacks.
