The Israelis have issued a warning, stating that they will intensify their attacks on Lebanon if Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance movement, continues to refuse to disarm. The Israeli forces have been launching terrorist attacks on civilian areas in Lebanon, violating the ceasefire agreement. On June 29, Israeli forces attacked southern Lebanon, martyring three civilians. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the latest Israeli attacks targeted the town of Kunin and Mahrouna, near Itura, in the south of the country. The attacks, carried out using military drones, targeted land vehicles. One person was martyred in the attack on Kunin, while two others were martyred in the attacks on Mahrouna. The Israelis claimed that the attack on Kunin was aimed at assassinating Hassan Muhammad Hammoudi, a senior Hezbollah fighter.
On June 27, Israeli forces also launched terrorist attacks on Al-Nabatiyah in southern Lebanon. These attacks on a civilian area martyred a woman and injured 25 others. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the woman was martyred when a drone attack hit her apartment. These terrorist crimes committed by the Israelis are in violation of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since November. Lebanese President Youssef Aoun has strongly condemned the Israeli crimes. He stated that the Israeli forces, with American support, are violating the agreement and refusing to withdraw from Lebanese territory.
Under the agreement, Hezbollah is prohibited from conducting military activities in areas south of the Litani River in Lebanon. The responsibility for security in that area has been assigned to the Lebanese army and the United Nations Peacekeeping Force. Hezbollah has stated that they are acting in accordance with the agreement. However, the Israelis have threatened that if Hezbollah refuses to disarm, they will not stop their terrorist attacks aimed at genocide against Lebanese civilians. Israel’s extremist Defense Minister, Israel Katz, said that they will continue to intensify the attacks. He also mentioned that the threat to intensify attacks was in response to President Aoun’s condemnation of Israeli crimes.
