Iran has announced that it has re-strengthened and robustly fortified its air defense system, which was damaged in the recent terrorist attacks by the Zionists on Iran. The Zionists began their attacks on Iran on June 13th. Many of these attacks targeted key centers operating Iran’s nuclear program. Furthermore, the Zionist attacks martyred a large number of senior commanders from the Iranian military, nuclear scientists, and innocent civilians. Additional attacks, ordered by the extremist Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, targeted Iranian military bases and defense systems. On June 22nd, as an accomplice to the Zionists, their biggest supporter, the United States, also launched terrorist attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Referring to senior Iranian military official Mahmoud Mousavi, Iran’s Deefaa Press Agency stated that the parts of the air defense system that were destroyed and damaged in the Zionist attacks have been replaced. It also added that the system has been further reinforced and strengthened. “Some parts of our air defense system were destroyed, there is no denying that, but our comrades have repaired and replaced those parts using domestically available equipment and components, and sent them to the areas needed to strengthen the air defense of our airspace,” Mousavi said.

Iran is currently using its domestically produced Bavar-373 system, in addition to the S-300 system supplied by Russia. Iranian media has not reported any damage to the air defense systems supplied by Russia during the Zionist attacks.
