At the 17th Al Jazeera Forum held in Doha, Qatar, international leaders and officials expressed profound concern regarding the genocidal campaign being carried out in Gaza and its detrimental impact on the global political landscape and the international legal framework. The leaders highlighted how this aggression has exposed the systemic failures of international institutions, noting that brute force has increasingly superseded the principles of justice and the rule of law.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the future of the Middle East is intrinsically linked to the resolution of the Palestinian cause. He urged the international community to halt arms sales to the occupying forces and called for them to be held accountable for their actions before the law. Similarly, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud emphasized that global instability would persist as long as an independent Palestinian state remains unestablished. He further characterized recent Israeli maneuvers concerning Somaliland as a significant threat to regional security.

Representing Turkey, Burhanettin Duran noted that in modern warfare, media and digital platforms have become strategic instruments used to manipulate public perception. Sheikh Hamad bin Thamir Al Thani, Chairman of the Al Jazeera Media Network, paid tribute to the immense sacrifices made by journalists in revealing the truth, while condemning the deliberate targeting of members of the press. Participants of the forum reached a consensus that the ongoing atrocities in Gaza represent a grave challenge to the collective conscience of humanity.
