Coach Ahmed Nimad has stated that the biggest problem in the second match played by Club Eagles in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League was again the fitness issues of the players. In an interview given to PSM News after the match against Buru Sports Club, which ended in a 2-2 draw, Coach Nimad said that Buru played with a lot of pressure in the second half. Nimad said that Eagles fielded players with injury problems and that this issue was still noticeable in the second match as the players have not yet recovered.

However, Nimad said that there was satisfaction in earning a point rather than losing to Buru, and that the game was very evenly matched. He noted that they are still giving rest to the to the players, and although changes might be needed in a tough match, they currently have very young players. Nimad also highlighted that some players have faced major injury issues due to participating in ongoing futsal tournaments and various other competitions, and this is the biggest problem facing Eagles in the league.

“The biggest issue is fitness problems. Some players have suffered major injuries due to playing in Club Maldives and other tournaments during this period,” said Coach Nimad. Club Eagles is currently in seventh place in the table. In their first league match, Eagles suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat against Maziya. Eagles will next face Club Green Streets on October 1st.
