India wins Asia Cup trophy with four boundaries in the final over

India clinched the Asia Cup championship by defeating Pakistan by five wickets, hitting four boundaries in the final over of the match. In the final match that concluded last night in Dubai, Pakistan chose to bat first after winning the toss. They managed to score 146 runs in 19.1 overs before being all out. In response, India achieved victory by scoring 150 runs with two balls remaining. Shahibzada Farhan performed best for Pakistan, scoring 57 runs, followed by Fakhruzzaman who scored 46 runs. Saim Ayub, who had failed to score in two previous matches of the tournament, managed to score 14 runs in this match. However, three Pakistani players were dismissed without scoring a single run.

India barely reached 100 runs in 15 overs when they came out to bat in response. The country won due to their excellent performance in the last four to five overs. Notably, Tilak Varma’s 69 runs, Sanju Samson’s 24 runs, and Shivam Dube’s 33 runs were highlights. Faheem Ashraf bowled best for Pakistan, taking three wickets. However, India won by hitting two boundaries off the four balls he bowled in the final over. Three Indian players each took two wickets.

Despite winning the trophy, Indian players refused to accept it. This was because the President of the Asian Cricket Council is from Pakistan, and they did not want to receive the trophy from his hands. As a result, the award ceremony was delayed for several hours.
