President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has held special consultations with the Digital Advisory Council of the Estonian President. This roundtable discussion was conducted as part of the President’s ongoing official visit to Estonia.
According to the President’s Office, President Muizzu had in-depth discussions with the council that advises Estonian President Alar Karis on digital matters. In this regard, important consultations were held concerning the President’s vision for a “Digital Maldives”.
Furthermore, the President’s Office stated that these discussions included talks on making digital solutions provided to citizens easily accessible and sustainable for all citizens, and on making them innovative in shaping the future of the Maldives. Estonia is one of the world’s most advanced countries in the digital field, with many public services provided by the government easily accessible to citizens through digital platforms.
As part of this trip, the President also visited the country’s “e-Estonia Briefing Centre” today.
