
The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has been entrusted with the task of developing 60 housing units in HDh. Nellaidhoo. This project was assigned to HDC during a meeting held with the residents of Nellaidhoo as part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the island. The agreement for the development of 60 housing units was signed by the Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdullah Muttalib, on behalf of the ministry. Managing Director (Retired) Brigadier General Ali Zuhair signed on behalf of HDC.
Under this project, 60 housing units consisting of 3-bedroom apartments will be constructed in Nellaidhoo. The work has been contracted to be completed within 300 days. The project costs 100 million Rufiyaa. While the construction of 60 housing units in Nellaidhoo has been assigned, the development of a jetty at the island’s harbor and the construction of roads on the island have also been contracted. This work has been assigned to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
